David Mitchell and Robert Webb appear in the hit British sitcom Peep Show, which has won multiple awards. Jesse Armstrong and Sam Bain are responsible for the writing of the television program, and extra material was contributed by Mitchell and Webb, amongst other people. Channel 4 has been airing it continuously since the year 2003. It is now the longest-running comedy program in the history of Channel 4, having reached its ninth season. The show employs point of view shots for its aesthetic, and the thoughts of the main characters, Mark and Jeremy, are heard as voiceovers during these scenes. Peep Show covers the lives of two men in their twenties and thirties: Mark Corrigan, who is employed throughout the most of the series, and Jeremy "Jez" Usbourne, an aspiring musician who is unemployed. Both men are in their early to mid-thirties. Both attended the fictitious Dartmouth University, where they became acquainted, and they currently live together in Croydon, which is located in South London. Mark begins his career as a loan manager at the fictitious JLB Credit. After some time, he transitions into the role of a waiter and eventually becomes a salesman for toilet products. His bank account is in good standing, but he is awkward and socially incompetent, and he has a negative and cynical outlook on life. After breaking up with his girlfriend Big Suze prior to the premiere of the first episode, Jeremy is now residing in the spare room of Mark's house. In general, he has a significantly more upbeat and spirited perspective on life than Mark does; however, his self-proclaimed talent as a musician has not yet been recognized, and he is not as well-liked or attractive as he would like to believe himself to be; however, he is more successful with people of the opposite sex than Mark is.
