Perfect Strangers

Perfect Strangers is an American sitcom that ran for eight seasons on the ABC television network from March 25, 1986 until August 8, 1993. The series recounts the tumultuous coexistence of Larry Appleton, a midwestern American, and Balki Bartokomous, his distant relative from eastern Mediterranean Europe. In the spring of 1986, the six-episode first season originally aired on Tuesdays; in the fall, it was relocated to Wednesdays in prime time. It was held on Wednesdays until March 1988, when it was transferred to Fridays. Although it ran on Saturdays for a brief time in 1992, the show found its home as the centerpiece of ABC's original TGIF Friday-night lineup.
