Mizuho Suga (Tsubasa Honda), a university student, discovers that her former high school classmate Haruka Origuchi (Erina Mizuno) has died of an illness. Mizuho runs into another former high school friend, Hikaru Narumi, at her burial (Yuma Nakayama). Hikaru Narumi was known as a playboy throughout high school. Mizuho and Hikaru Narumi had a particular friendship as well. Hikaru was outgoing, while Mizuho struggled to make new acquaintances. They kissed in class once and had a one-day summer excursion together. They were not pals or lovers, and they kept their relationship private. Meanwhile, Haruka Origuchi's mother attempts to communicate with Mizuho, believing Mizuho to be her daughter's greatest friend. Haruka's mother inquires about her daughter's lover. Haruka previously fell pregnant with her lover.
