Prime Suspect
Detective Jane Timoney finds that being a homicide detective in New York City is hard enough, and the fact that the police department is mostly men makes it even harder for her to get respect. She's an outsider who just moved to a new precinct where the boys' club is impossible to break into. Timoney has her own bad habits and a questionable past. She is often rude, pushy, and careless. But she's also a smart cop who always keeps an eye on the main suspect.
