Canadian television show ReGenesis is produced by The Movie Network, in cooperation with Shaftesbury Films, and aired on the Movie Central network. A fictional Toronto-based corporation called NorBAC is the focus of this four-season series about the scientists who work there. Among the issues it looks at are bioterrorism, strange diseases, and extreme shifts in the environment in Canada, the US, and Mexico's three neighboring countries. Molecular biologist and principal scientist David Sandström is in charge of NorBAC. Science-related social and political topics frequently come up in the show through this character. Canada's Global and Showcase networks aired the original series, which was also shown on The Movie Network and Movie Central. As far as international broadcasters are concerned, it can be watched on FX, The Science Channel, Halogen TV, and in syndication in the United States, and FX Latin America in Mexico, among others. Oasis International provides international distribution. As of April 2012, the show is also available on Hulu.com.
