Route 66
In the American TV show Route66, two young men drove a Chevrolet Corvette sports car across the country. From October7,1960, until March20,1964, the show aired every Friday on CBS. It starred Martin Milner as Tod Stiles and George Maharis as Buz Murdock for the first two and a half seasons. Maharis was sick for most of the third season, so Tod was on his own while traveling. Tod met Glenn Corbett's character Lincoln Case at the end of the third season, and they traveled together until the end of the fourth and final season. The show is on Me-TV, My Family TV, and RTV right now. The show's Corvette convertible and instrumental theme song, which became a big pop hit, were two of its most famous parts.
