Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated is the eleventh Scooby-Doo animated series and the first not to air on Saturday mornings. The series aired in the U.S. on Cartoon Network on April5,2010, with the next 12 episodes continuing and the first episode re-airing on July12, 2010. The series ended on April5, 2013 after two seasons and 52 episodes (26 per season). Mystery Incorporated returns to the early days of Scooby and the gang, when they were still solving mysteries in their hometown. It mentions many cases and creatures from the original Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! Each episode takes a tongue-in-cheek approach to the original Scooby-Doo formula, with progressively ridiculous technology, skills, and settings for each villain and a different spin on the famed "meddling youngsters" statement. Two aspects have never been used in a Scooby-Doo series before: a serial format with an ongoing story arc involving many dark plot elements and continuing character turmoil.
