The show is about a young reporter named Daisy Channing who is trying to balance her messy personal life with her growing career. Daisy's life starts to go wrong when she sees a murder she thinks is gang-related. Slowly, she gets caught up in a web of illegal sexual activity and criminal activity that reaches into the halls of corporate and political power. It's the kind of story that will ruin people's lives, including her own. Daisy finds out about a cover-up that is so scandalous that it could bring down the government. She does this with the help of lead homicide detective Kevin Lutz, her editor Mary Foster, and her co-worker Simon Olenski.
