Joan Collins starred in the 1986 CBS miniseries Sins. After surviving the horrors of the Nazi occupation of France, Judith Gould's 1982 novel is adapted into this narrative of a rising fashion designer who faces a series of obstacles on her way to success. At least 85 outfit changes were required for Collins' performance in the miniseries, which was produced by New World Television with her then-husband Peter Holm as an executive producer. The theme song, "It's Hard to be Tender," was co-written and sung by Carly Simon.
