Sky High
Sky High is a live-action, supernatural Japanese TV drama series starring actress and model Yumiko Shaku. It aired in Japan for the first time from 2003 to 2004, and it was popular enough to lead to a movie with the same name in 2003. Both were based on the Japanese manga Skyhigh. Shaku plays the role of Izuko, the guardian of the gate to the afterlife. The basic idea of the TV show is similar to that of the American show Ghost Whisperer, in which the main character must use her supernatural abilities to help the dead find out why or how they died so they can move on to the afterlife. But in Izuko's case, no matter how hard she tries, her advice does not always lead to a happy ending.
