Soldier Soldier is a show on the BBC in the United Kingdom about a soldier. In a song called "Soldier, Soldier Will You Marry Me?" the lyrics read: "Soldier, Soldier, Will You Marry Me?" Instrumental music was utilized as the theme music for this television series It aired on the ITV network for seven seasons and 82 episodes between 1991 and 1997, produced by Central Television and shown on ITV. 'B' Company, First Battalion, showcased a group of soldiers in their daily lives. Regiment of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, a fictional British Army infantry unit. It depicts army life in the early to mid-1990s, when the British Army was undergoing a major shift in the early to mid-90s. For example, a number of real-world regiments were compelled to merge in the third season, circa1994, because of the army's reorganization and downsizing. Soldier Soldier has the King's Fusiliers merge with the Cumbrian Regiment, another fictional regiment, to become the King's Own Fusiliers, a new fictional regiment. Fortunately, the death toll was limited when Soldier Soldier aired, with the majority of the victims dying in training accidents or as the result of suicide. Peacekeeping missions predominated over actual combat missions for the military. As a result, the show was able to present the military in a reasonably positive light, despite the possible domestic issues that may arise.
