The President of the French Republic was visiting Saint-Etienne in the Loire when he was killed by a bomb. The political world is in a state of upheaval because early presidential elections will be held in the next thirty-five days. There's no doubt that Philip Deleuvre, the prime minister, will run for the Elysee. But what few people know is that the leader of the government knows more than he said. Kapita Simon, the late president's former communications adviser (spin doctor), says that this state makes people lie again. The man of the shadows now has a goal: to find a candidate who can beat Deleuvre. He wants to keep his dead friend's honor and some kind of political ethics.
