Stella was a short-lived TV show that ran from June 28, 2005, to August 30, 2005, on the American channel Comedy Central. It was created by and starred Michael Ian Black, Michael Showalter, and David Wain, who were also in MTV's The State. Stella has been around as a comedy group since 1997. It has a cult following and sells out events all over the United States. The show was on at 10:30 PM EST on Tuesdays. After 10 episodes of Stella, the time slot was taken over by Mind of Mencia in September. The following message was put on Stella's official website on March 8, 2006: "Last summer, the STELLA TV show was on Comedy Central. The network has decided that it will not be back for a second season "So, the series was pretty much canceled. On September 12, 2006, the first season DVD came out. There have also been episodes on iTunes, Hulu, and some on Joost. Stella first aired in Australia on May 3, 2007, on The Comedy Channel.
