Survivorman
Survivorman is a Canadian-produced television program that airs on the Outdoor Life Network in Canada and the Discovery Channel and Science Channel globally. In 2004, 2007, 2008, and 2012, the show broadcast three seasons and four specials. The title refers to the show's host, Canadian filmmaker and survival expert Les Stroud, who uses survival skills and knowledge to survive for up to 10 days alone while videotaping his travels in distant locations with little or no food, water, or equipment. According to the show's website, each location was studied and meticulously planned by Stroud and his team, who contacted survival experts and inhabitants of each place. The fact that Stroud worked without a crew is a central theme of the show.
