Taken

The science fiction miniseries Taken, which also goes by the name Steven Spielberg Presents Taken, debuted on the Sci-Fi Channel in2002. It was nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Miniseries and ended up winning the award. It was shot in Vancouver, which is located in British Columbia, Canada. It was written by Leslie Bohem, and it was directed by Breck Eisner, Félix Enrquez Alcalá, John Fawcett, Tobe Hooper, Jeremy Paul Kagan, Michael Katleman, Sergio Mimica-Gezzan, Bryan Spicer, Jeff Woolnough, and Thomas J. Wright. Leslie Bohem and Steven Spielberg served as executive producers on this project. The show takes place from 1944 to 2002 and follows the lives of three families: the Crawfords, who seek to cover up the Roswell crash and the existence of aliens; the Keys, who are subjected to frequent experimentation by the aliens; and the Clarkes, who sheltered one of the surviving aliens from the crash. The Crawfords are the ones who are trying to cover up the Roswell crash and the existence of aliens. Because the tale has spanned several decades, there is not a single actor or character who appears in each and every episode of the series. The reception was favorable, and the series ended up winning an Emmy. During the time that the show was first broadcast, the Sci-Fi Channel ran a promotional effort that made use of the concurrent formation of the organization Coalition for Freedom of Information. PodestaMattoon, a public relations firm based in Washington, District of Columbia, counts both the Sci-Fi Channel and the Coalition for Freedom of Information as clients, and some have taken issue with the seeming co-mingling of these two sets of customers. The Coalition for Freedom of Information is a group that works toward the goal of gaining scientific, Congressional, and media legitimacy for the investigation of unidentified flying object (UFO) files that are currently classified as top secret by the United States government.
