The City

The City ran on MTV from December 29, 2008 until July 13, 2010. The Hills spin-off followed the personal and professional lives of young women in New York City for two seasons. Adam DiVello developed the show, and Liz Gateley was executive producer. The first season followed Whitney Port as she began working for Diane von Fürstenberg. It also included Olivia Palermo, Jay Lyon, Adam Senn, and Erin Lucas. In the second half of the inaugural season, Roxy Olin and Erin Kaplan replaced the last three. The City was less successful than The Hills, receiving mixed reviews. Like its predecessor, the series was criticized for its narrative format and fabricated storyline. All seasons are on DVD.
