The Fugitive is a drama series that was produced in the United States by QM Productions and United Artists Television and broadcast on ABC between the years 1963 and 1967. The series was conceived by Roy Huggins. The role of Dr. Richard Kimble, a man who is wrongfully accused of killing his wife and sentenced to death as a result, is played by David Janssen. Kimble's train derails and crashes on its way to the death row, allowing him to escape and start a cross-country quest for the real perpetrator, a "one-armed guy." During this time, Dr. Kimble is being relentlessly pursued by the authorities, most notably by Police Lieutenant Philip Gerard. The Fugitive was on the air for a total of four seasons, and a total of 120 episodes, each lasting 51 minutes, were created. The first three seasons were broadcast in black and white, but the fourth and final season were broadcast in color. Me-TV began airing new episodes of The Fugitive every week in October of 2012. TV Guide's list of the 50 Greatest Television Shows of All Time placed "The Fugitive" at number 36 in 2002. TV Guide ranked the man with one arm as number five on their list of the 60 most evil villains of all time in 2013.
