The Hunger

Scott Free Productions, Telescene Film Group Productions, and The Movie Network, a Canadian pay-TV channel, collaborated on the British/Canadian anthology series "The Hunger." Jeff Fazio created the series, despite the fact that it bears a striking resemblance to the feature picture The Hunger, which carries the same title. When it was first broadcast from 1997 to 2000, the series was divided into two seasons and aired on three different networks: Sci Fi Channel (UK), The Movie Network (Canada), and Showtime (US). Terence Stamp hosted the first season, while David Bowie took over for him in the second. Each episode revolved around a different story, which was introduced by the presenter. Cannibalism, vampires, sex, and poison were common tropes in the works, which dealt with issues of self-destructive desire and obsession with a heavy erotica component.
