Ye Xiu is the top player for an esports squad that dominates the Chinese leagues of "Glory," a popular multiplayer game. His gaming career appears to have ended abruptly, though, when he is thrown out of his squad, which is eager to sign a lucrative sponsorship deal that he fiercely opposes. Ye Xiu starts a job at a late-night Internet cafe, where she soon befriends the establishment's owner, Chen Guo. Chen Guo eventually exposes her strategy, which is to form a new "Glory" team led by Ye Xui. Will Ye Xiu return to his "Glory" era? And can he find and train enough players to return to the top of the national rankings, as well as exact revenge on his traitorous former teammates?
