The Magician

American television series The Magician ran during the 1973–1974 season. Bill Bixby portrayed stage illusionist Anthony "Tony" Blake, a playboy benefactor who utilized his skills to solve difficult murders when necessary. In the pilot episode, the character was referred to as Anthony Dorian. The name was changed to avoid confusion with a real-life stage magician.
