The Six Million Dollar Man

The Six Million Dollar Man follows a former astronaut with bionic implants who works for OSI. During pre-production, the series was based on Martin Caidin's novel Cyborg. After three TV movies in1973, The Six Million Dollar Man ran on ABC from 1974 through 1978. Lee Majors played Steve Austin, a 1970s pop icon. Bionic Woman lasted from 1976-78. Between 1987 and1994, several TV movies starred both eponymous characters.
