The Tunnel

The story focuses on the efforts of two detectives, Karl Roebuck and Elise Wasserman, to track down a serial killer who left the lower half of the body of a British prostitute and the upper half of the body of a French politician in the Channel Tunnel, which is located approximately halfway between France and the United Kingdom. They find out later that the murderer, who comes to be known as the "Truth Terrorist," is on a moral crusade to spotlight many different social ills, and that in the process, he is terrorizing both countries.
