Xiao Qing is on exchange in the United States. Daughter of a valiant prosecutor back home, she takes immense pleasure in her father's accomplishments. Her father is an incorruptible judge, and Xiao Qing lives her life according to the same values. Shu Che is a classmate of Xiao Qing. Unlike Xiao Qing's father, Shu Che's father is not quite as virtuous. As a government figure, Shu Che's father has participated in numerous illicit transactions. With these partnerships, he has created numerous opportunities for his kid. But Shu Che has no interest in that. Upon meeting, Xiao Qing and Shu Che fell in love. But when their fathers engage in a court dispute, their relationship is irrevocably altered. As they fight between their responsibility and their love, the couple realizes that they can never revert to their former selves.
