Christy Hui is the creator of the American animated television series Xiaolin Showdown, which first aired on Kids WB in the United States. The story follows four teenage warriors in training as they face the forces of evil in a world where martial arts battles and Eastern magic are ubiquitous. This world is the setting for the series. They accomplish this by defending Shen Gong Wu against evildoers who would employ them in an effort to take over the globe. The series had a total of three seasons and fifty-two episodes throughout its run on the WB Network, where it had its debut in 2003 as part of the Kids' WB programming block. The typical episode centers on the revelation of a certain Shen Gong Wu, which then leads both sides to embark on a search for that Shen Gong Wu. When things finally come to a head in an episode, it's generally because one good character and one evil character have to face off against each other in a mystical battle known as a Xiaolin Showdown to choose who gets to keep the relic. On August 26, 2013, Disney XD aired a sneak peek of a sequel series that is going to be called Xiaolin Chronicles. On September 14 of that same year, it began its run in theaters for a longer period of time.
