You Have Been Watching is a comedic panel game that is broadcast in the United Kingdom and is hosted by Charlie Brooker. The game is produced by Zeppotron for Channel 4 and is shot at the BBC Television Centre and Riverside Studios in London. Its premiere was on July 7, 2009, and it ran for a total of eight episodes over the course of eight weeks. The name of the show is a reference to a number of sitcoms written by David Croft, including Dad's Army, 'Allo 'Allo!, Are You Being Served?, and It Ain't Half Hot Mum. Each of these shows concluded with the caption "You have been watching," which was then followed by the cast list. The second season of the show premiered on April 15, 2010, however it was cut short by one week because of the killings in Cumbria; the conclusion of the series had to be pushed back because it was a crime-themed episode. In the end, the crime special was shown on television on August 4, 2010, but it was carried on E4 rather than Channel 4.
