When Chef Dave Oberlin's (Ryan Rottman) confrontation with a famous food reviewer goes viral, his career is in ruins. Dave is forced to take a teaching post at his friend's culinary arts school after being banned by the top eateries. Dr. Nina Kirby (Maya Stojan), a cardiologist, is up for a promotion at the local hospital, and the Head of Cardiology tells her that if she can get Dave on board to teach the Healthy Living seminars, she will be a shoe-in for the position. Nina, on the other hand, is unable to cook and refuses to learn. Nina accepts to take Dave's class after some convincing from her best friend and coworker, Olivia (Tanya Chisholm). When Nina hands Dave the Healthy Living seminars, he's not interested in working with her because she doesn't show up to class. Nina and Dave discover some unexpected common ground while trying to persuade him to join the team.
