Felix Austria
The plot centres around the contentious relationship of maid Stefania Chornenko and blueblood Adelia Anger in provincial Austro-Hungary in 1900. During the fire, both Stefania's dad and Adelia's mother died. Adelia's father took in a neighbor's orphan. Though Stefania was the maid, the girls grew up together and became as close as sisters. This relationship evolves into a love-trap, full of mutual manipulation and jealousy on the one hand, but equally built on care and commitment on the other. When Adelia marries sculptor Petro, the illusion of balance is disrupted. Everything becomes even more problematic when Stefa's previous love interest, Joseph, returns to town as a priest and a married man. Illusions will dissipate, and reality will become clear.
