Australian auteur Ivan Sen's latest film, GOLDSTONE, is an award-winning mystery thriller that examines racism, human trafficking and police corruption while also addressing issues of corporate misconduct and indigenous rights violations. On the hunt for a missing person, troubled indigenous detective Jay Swan (Aaron Pedersen, Mystery Road) ends up in the small mining town of Goldstone, where he is arrested for drunk driving by local cop Josh (Alex Russell, CBS's "S.W.A.T."). That anything more sinister is going on becomes obvious when Jay's motel room is shot at. A labyrinth of crime and corruption leads directly to the cold-blooded Mayor (two-time Oscar nominee Jacki Weaver, Silver Linings Playbook) and its smarmy gold mine director.
