An aristocratic former lover and a prostitute are the subjects of this unique love story, which is based on a novelette by Denis Diderot and features dialogue written by Jean Cocteau. The story follows the maneuverings of a society lady as she concocts a scandalous affair between her ex-lover and a prostitute.
