Twelve years ago, a shoulder injury ruined Jim Morris' career as a pitcher. He never advanced beyond the lower levels. Jim, a Texas high school chemistry teacher and baseball coach who is now married and has children, makes a bargain with his team: if they win the district championship, Jim will try out for a major-league team. Jim has a long way to go before he reaches The Show, but now that his big-league dreams have been rekindled, everything is possible.
