Slow Learners
Jeff, a high school guidance counselor, and Anne, a platonic friend and coworker, are responsible, well-intentioned, nice... and uninteresting. They are frustrated as they watch their peers find love and companionship while they continue to fail miserably at romance. They form a vow to forego their known, bland selves in favor of their untapped, confident alter egos as their loneliness reaches a breaking point. They bid farewell to Jeff's awkward all-male reading club and Anne's fumbling attempts to attract the attention of Jeff's handsome neighbor Max, and yes to riotous summer nights full of booze, dancing, and sex. Things don't always go as planned.
