Hamish Macbeth
The comedy-drama series Hamish Macbeth was produced by BBC Scotland and premiered for the first time in 1995. It is largely inspired on a book series of the same name written by M. C. Beaton. Constable Hamish Macbeth, a local law enforcement official in the made-up town of Lochdubh, located on the western coast of Scotland, is the protagonist of this fictional television series. Robert Carlyle was cast in the role of the eponymous protagonist. From 1995 to 1997, it aired for a total of three seasons, with the first two series each consisting of six episodes and the third series having eight episodes.
