Profit
Profit is an American TV show that first aired on Monday nights at 9:00 PM EST on the Fox Broadcasting Company in 1996. David Greenwalt and John McNamara came up with the idea for the show, and Adrian Pasdar plays the title character, Jim Profit. In the USA, episodes of Chiller began to air in February 2008. In Europe, episodes began to air on CBS Action in October 2010. Many people think that the show was ahead of its time. It set the stage for more recent shows like The Sopranos, Nip/Tuck, Dexter, Breaking Bad, and The Shield. The main character's lack of morals led to subversive themes that made the show uncomfortable and strange for mainstream audiences and Fox network affiliates, which led to the show's cancellation. It was number four on TV Guide's list of 60 shows that were canceled too soon in 2013, and the magazine called Profit "shockingly memorable."
